Plot:

When the residents of Quahog are invited to a stately mansion for a weekend getaway, the retreat turns into a real murder mystery when guests end up dead and everyone scrambles to solve the crime.

Family Guy was nominated alongside other FOX shows American Dad and The Cleveland Show, as well as South Park.

The 2010 Teen Choice Awards will air tomorrow, August 9th at 8/7c on FOX.

It was only about a minute into the show, when Roast Master, Family Guy creator Seth MacFarlane brought up the vid (of a drunken Hasselhoff trying to eat a cheeseburger while on the floor): “He’s multi-lingual,” MacFarlane said. “He can speak English, Spanish, German and…whatever the f–k that language was in the cheeseburger video.

In honor of his popularity in Germany, Hasselhoff entered the roast surrounded by dancing German beer girls while performing “Hooked On a Feeling.”"Marlee Matlin called,” McFarlane cracked, “and said, ‘Please, David, no more singing.”

Among the guest roasters were George Hamilton, Pamela Anderson, Alan Thicke, Traci Bingham, Jeffrey Ross, Jerry Springer, Hulk Hogan, Lisa Lampanelli, Greg Giraldo, and Gilbert Gottfried.

The show is set to air on Comedy Central on Sunday, August 15, 2010 at 10PM ET/PT.

Woody Allen would be kind of cool, but I don’t think he’d ever do the show.

We’ve tried to get Shatner in the past and not had a whole lot of luck. We’ve probably poked a little too much fun at him!

Still, Seth admits “We’ve had so many people that we wanted to get,” he added. “That list of people we want but can’t get is dwindling!”

The Griffins will return to conclude their Star Wars-skewering in the wake of 2009’s Something, Sometinhg, Something Dark Side. McFarlane has stated that the “spectacular and offensively uproarious” uncensored DVD will be the final chapter in his Star Wars series.

Return to a galaxy… far, far away as the freakin’ sweet saga continues when “Family Guy: It’s A Trap!” arrives exclusively on Blu-ray and DVD December 21 from Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment. In the third installment of the unique and hilarious animated parody of the Star Wars trilogy, the Griffins reprise their roles in this hilarious retelling of Star Wars: Return of the Jedi.

Fans received an early peek of the epic farce at San Diego Comic-Con as Seth MacFarlane previewed 10 minutes of “Family Guy: It’s A Trap!” during the Family Guy panel today at 11:00 AM in Ballroom 20.

In this spectacular and offensively uproarious final chapter, Luke Skywalker (Chris) and Princess Leia (Lois) must travel to Tatooine to free Han Solo (Peter) by infiltrating the wretched stronghold of Jabba the Hutt (Joe), the galaxy’s most loathsome and dreadful gangster. Once reunited, the Rebels team up with a tribe of Ewoks to combat the Imperial forces on the forest moon of Endor. Meanwhile the Emperor (Carter Pewterschmidt) and Darth Vader (Stewie) conspire to turn Luke to the dark side, and young Skywalker is determined to rekindle the spirit of the Jedi within his father. The Galactic Civil War has never been more outrageous, as the Rebel forces gather to attack the seemingly defenseless and incomplete second Death Star in the battle that will determine the fate of the galaxy.

Adding to the fun, “Family Guy: It’s A Trap!” is loaded with hysterical cameo voice spots – including Patrick Stewart and Michael Dorn reprising their roles from “Star Trek: The Next Generation,” Adam West (“Batman”), Carrie Fisher (Star Wars Trilogy) and conservative talk radio juggernaut Rush Limbaugh as the voice of the large carnivorous reptomammal, the Rancor.

On the topic of how the idea for the episode originate:

We’ve found in the last couple years that by taking serious stories that could be movies of the week on Lifetime or Oxygen, and doing a Zucker brothers-”Airplane!” take on them, they always make for really good “Family Guy” episodes. To us, it’s in the realm of what in the 1970s would be the edginess of the abortion episode of “Maude.” But times really have changed, and I think the network is making a decision that is, unfortunately, probably correctly based on people’s current ability to handle and dissect controversial narratives, which is far less than it was in the 70s.

According to the press release, Sunday September 26 will see The Simpsons kick off the night followed by The Cleveland Show at 8:30 ET/PT.

The season 9 premiere of Family Guy will be broadcast with a one-hour murder mystery special, “And Then There Were Fewer”, at 9:00 ET/PT.

American Dad! will mark its milestone 100th episode with its season premierere on October 3rd with their 100th episode at 9:30 ET/PT.

The controversial song, “Down’s Syndrome Girl“, written by composer Walter Murphy and Seth MacFarlane for the episode “Extra Large Medium”, will be competing against the likes of Randy Newman for the award.

This year, the music category is the only place the show has been nominated. Family Guy, American Dad! and The Cleveland Show went unrecognized in the comedy, animation and voice over categories.
