Family Guy Gets Emmy Nomination For Outstanding Music And Lyrics
The 62nd Annual Emmy nominations were announced this morning and among those mentioned in the Outstanding Music and Lyrics category was Family Guy.
The controversial song, “Down’s Syndrome Girl“, written by composer Walter Murphy and Seth MacFarlane for the episode “Extra Large Medium”, will be competing against the likes of Randy Newman for the award.
This year, the music category is the only place the show has been nominated. Family Guy, American Dad! and The Cleveland Show went unrecognized in the comedy, animation and voice over categories.
