Peter and Joe finally get to meet Quagmire’s Dad, Lieutenant Dan Quagmire, but are surprised when it appears, to Quagmire’s apparent ignorance, that his dad is in fact gay. When Peter brings it up with him, Quagmire insists Peter is just jealous, but ends up confronting his father on the issue anyway, and learns that while his father isn’t gay, he believes himself to be a woman trapped in a man’s body, and undergoes a sex change operation. Brian, who returns home from a seminar on web series, meets Ida, not realizing she has a history as a man, and sleeps with her. Later, after he discovers the truth, he’s horrified, as is Quagmire when he discovers the same. Quagmire then takes his anger out on Brian with a severe ass-kicking.
